Position Summary  

We seek a talented 3D Modeler with strong Revit experience to work directly under senior engineering and management staff. In this role, you will create detailed 3D models of elevator components, shafts, structural frameworks, and related assemblies, as well as construction and shop drawings. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Revit, understands structural and building principles, and is eager to learn about elevator systems. 

 

Key Responsibilities  

3D Modeling & Drafting  

  • Develop and maintain complex Revit models for elevator shafts, support rails, machine rooms, and related structural elements. 
  • Create and maintain 2D & 3D parametric families used in the modeling and drafting the elevator tower frame. 
  • Convert design concepts, sketches, and verbal instructions from the Structural Engineer into precise 3D parametric models. 

Coordination & Collaboration  

  • Coordinate with the Structural Engineer, project managers, and other team members to integrate models with architectural, electrical, and mechanical designs. 
  • Identify design conflicts or space constraints and proactively propose solutions. 

Quality & Standards  

  • Ensure all models adhere to relevant building codes (IBC, ASME, etc.) and internal drafting standards. 
  • Conduct regular quality checks on Revit models and associated documentation to maintain accuracy and compliance. 

Documentation & Revision Control  

  • Generate construction documents, shop drawings, and other deliverables from Revit models. 
  • Track and manage design revisions, ensuring model integrity and version control throughout the project lifecycle. 

Continuous Improvement  

  • Stay informed on the latest Revit updates, modeling techniques, and building code requirements. 
  • Contribute to developing internal Revit standards, templates, and best practices. 

 

Qualifications  

Education

  • Associate’s degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field is required. Bachelor’s degree is a plus. 

Experience

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Revit modeling; experience in structural or mechanical projects preferred. 

Software Proficiency

  • Required : Advanced Revit skills, including family creation, parametric modeling, and collaborative features. 
  • Preferred : Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Solidworks, or other BIM software tools. 

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of structural engineering principles and building codes. 
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications. 

Communication

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Capable of translating complex engineering instructions into clear, accurate 3D models. 

Detail-Oriented

  • Proven ability to produce precise, detail-rich Revit models and associated documentation. 

Team Player

  • Positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary engineering and design team.
