About the Program and Position:
Our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) department is focused on and dedicated to Cayuga Centers being an agency that represents an expanse of identities, is equity-centered, welcoming, and inclusive, and where everyone is valued, engaged, respected, and proud to work.
The Engagement Associate plays an integral role in planning and implementing DEIB initiatives agency-wide, particularly efforts focused on staff and other stakeholder engagement. One position will be based in New York City, and one position in Miami Lakes, FL with occasional travel to other agency locations.
How you get to use your skills…
Cultivate positive relationships and effective collaborations with staff across the agency
Develop, plan, and implement staff engagement activities
Create DEIB-focused content for DEIB Sharepoint page and other internal media
Support and serve as a member of the DEIB Council
Research best practices and approaches to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, justice, and accessibility in the workplace and beyond
Schedule: Non-Exempt
Regular hours entail Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm, business hours; Must be flexible to meet program needs
In-person, in office, Monday - Friday
Travel outside of work hours to various hubs
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Interest in and knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, justice, and accessibility concepts and terminology
Experience in project management
Experience in content development
Strong skills in the Google Workspace
Ability to be flexible and adapt to present conditions
Ability to handle confidential information in a responsible manner
Ability to maintain and uphold professional boundaries
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
Ability to work effectively and patiently with others in challenging or stressful situations
Ability to travel to other agency locations as required
Bilingual - English/Spanish Required (Florida program only)
Valid state Driver’s License - Required
Physical Requirements:
Word processing: Including responding to emails, composing letters, completing computerized charting
120 hours of Vacation Time, 12 sick days per year
