About the Position
Dynamic, client-engaged primary market research and strategic planning consultancy is seeking a market researcher to work with our national portfolio of clients. We are willing to consider and pay appropriately qualified candidates with 0-5 years of relevant experience. This is an opportunity for you to either define or enhance your career in market research.

On any given day, you will be actively engaged in 3-6 different projects across a range of clients. Direct client interactions are integral and regular. This variety and pacing make for interesting, active days.
Responsibilities and Skill Requirements
We do not conduct secondary or syndicated studies—all of our primary research projects stem from a client challenge or problem. For each project, our team develops a methodology, fields primary research with customers or prospects, analyzes the findings, and then reports out to clients with key learnings, implications, and suggested solutions. You will be an integral part of that team. We are not a research supplier of “productionized” reports, so to love this position you must enjoy collaborative, hands-on work and the process of “translating” data into cogent conclusions and insightful, actionable recommendations.
Key skill requirements for this position:
· Basic business acumen
· Excellent listening and organizational skills
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· A curious brain that loves to solve puzzles
· Knowledge or coursework that includes at least an introduction to both qualitative and quantitative research techniques
· Track record of “self-directed” learning beyond basic employer training
· High proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office
Elements that will make you stand out from other candidates:
· Ability to make PowerPoint decks less painful for audiences
· Experience with statistical software such as SPSS
· Experience with web survey software such as Qualtrics or Voxco
· Coursework or experience with basic statistical techniques (e.g., regression, t-tests, difference of proportions, etc.)
· HTML, CCS, Javascript, or any structured programming experience
· Knowledge/certification in "big data" or web analytics
· Interviewing or group discussion moderating experience in any context
Educational Requirements
We will consider candidates across a broad range of liberal arts, social science, or business-related degrees.
Salary and Benefits
Salary range: $55,000 to $80,000 based on education and experience, plus profit-sharing and fully employer-paid insurance (medical/optical/dental plus short- and long-term disability)
