Job Title: Contract Marketing and Communications Manager

Location: Nashville, TN (Onsite)

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to join our client's team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in marketing and communications, with a strong background in event management, either in-house or within an agency.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Relations:

• Serve as the primary contact for vendors, ensuring clear and proactive communication.
• Manage vendor deliverables to meet project timelines and objectives.

Media and Public Relations:

• Develop and maintain media lists, and build relationships with journalists and industry influencers.
• Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and pitch materials.
• Secure media coverage across traditional and digital platforms.
• Plan and participate in community events to boost public engagement.

Marketing Content Management:

• Update website content using WordPress.
• Create content for websites, newsletters, and social media channels.
• Use InDesign for production edits and marketing materials.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

• Collaborate with senior team members to develop communication strategies aligned with client goals.
• Monitor and report on media coverage, social media engagement, and overall campaign performance.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in marketing, public relations, or a related field.

Core Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong business acumen.
• Proficiency in InDesign and WordPress.
• Attention to detail.
• Event planning experience.
• Social media management skills.

Requirements:

• Must be available to work onsite 5 days a week.
• Successful completion of background and drug screening.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage sales materials and creative changes.
• Oversee social media posting and website updates.
• Act as a liaison for video production with external partners.
• Support the CEO with edits and approvals for PR materials.
