On-Page SEO Expert / WordPress Developer

Location: Remote
Employment Type: Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented On-Page SEO Expert/WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an extensive understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and on-page SEO best practices, coupled with proficiency in WordPress development. You will play a key role in optimizing our websites to drive organic traffic, improve visibility, and achieve measurable results.

Responsibilities :

On-Page SEO:

• Conduct comprehensive on-page SEO audits and provide actionable recommendations to improve rankings and traffic.
• Optimize meta titles, descriptions, headers, and on-page content for target keywords.
• Improve website architecture, URL structures, and internal linking strategies for SEO.
• Research and implement the latest search engine updates, trends, and algorithm changes.
• Conduct detailed keyword research to identify high-impact opportunities.
• Monitor website performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console) and provide regular reports.
• Perform A/B testing to evaluate the impact of SEO strategies.
• Ensure all content meets SEO guidelines and enhances user experience.

WordPress Development:

• Customize WordPress themes and templates to improve functionality, performance, and SEO.
• Optimize website speed, mobile responsiveness, and core web vitals to align with SEO goals.
• Implement and maintain structured data/schema markup for enhanced search engine visibility.
• Configure and manage SEO plugins (e.g., Yoast, Rank Math) to enhance optimization efforts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, ensuring consistent uptime and performance.
• Collaborate with content creators, designers, and other developers to ensure seamless integration of SEO and development efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• Proven experience as an On-Page SEO Specialist and WordPress Developer.
• Deep knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and on-page SEO strategies.
• Proficiency in WordPress, including theme customization, plugin management, and site optimization.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript related to SEO and web development.
• Experience with tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog.
• Familiarity with structured data/schema markup and its role in SEO.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and create actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with Core Web Vitals optimization.
• Familiarity with other CMS platforms and their SEO capabilities.
• Knowledge of technical SEO elements, such as crawl budget, robots.txt, and XML sitemaps.
• Background in creating SEO strategies for non-e-commerce websites.
