Job Description

Analyze, abstract, and compile medical information from patients' records as a service to physicians, clinicians and various agencies and business offices associated with patient care; and perform other related duties as required. Uses knowledge of records management and University policies and internal procedure to take care of records management issues. Resolves a wide range of issues in consultation with supervisor, works on records management issues of moderate scope where analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Applies knowledge to respond to release of information requests made by third parties and patient requests. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Is back up to scheduling and registration for all Langley Porter Services.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $55,200 - $95,900 (Annual Rate).
