About This Role  

DeLille Cellars is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Payroll Specialist. This position will ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, compliance with federal, state and local regulations, and deliver excellent service to employees regarding payroll inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in payroll administration and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

This role will be hybrid, on-site location in Woodinville, WA.

What You’ll Do:  

Payroll Processing:

• Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 
• Maintain payroll records; compiling payroll and benefit data from source documents.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency. 
• Document, investigate and determine solutions for all payroll errors.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Stay current with federal, Washington State and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax requirements, including Washington-specific taxes such as Paid Family and medical Leave (PFML).
• Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, including quarterly and annual reports (e.g., Form 941, W-2s).
• Maintain accurate payroll records and respond to audits as required.

Account Reconciliation: 

• Verify, investigate and reconcile benefit invoices and employee benefit deductions as well as system output for each bi-weekly payroll

Employee Support:

• Work with HR to address and resolve employee payroll inquiries promptly
• Educated employees on payroll-related matters, including deductions, benefits and tax withholdings. 

About You:  

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in Washington state 
• HRIS and Payroll system experience; ADP compensation and benefits experience preferred. 
• Knowledge of Washington State labor laws, including overtime, minimum wage and paid sick leave requirements.

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite software.

Pay Range Details  

The pay range for incoming hires into this position is $25 - $29/hour with eligibility for an annual bonus. At DeLille, compensation decision are dependent on a variety of factors, including a candidate’s experience and scope of responsibility.
