Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack, PHP & JavaScript, New Product Development, Remote

The primary responsibility is full-stack development with an emphasis on the back end. A successful candidate will have a broad skill base, be collaborative and team-oriented, be a creative thinker, and possess a desire for continuous improvement and learning. What will you be doing?

• Report to the Director of Software Engineering
• Work in a small team of 5 Software Engineers
• Full-stack position, JavaScript/React, and PHP 80% of work is back-end
• Participate in product design and development of new software
• Involvement in the application stack, web services, APIs, user interface, and database
• Assist in migration from Zend to Laravel
• Collaborative, design-oriented, security conscious, and loves to solve complex problems
• Work in an environment open to all possibilities and technologies, leveraging the right technology for the task and creating easily maintainable, scalable solutions
• Work on an Agile team

What are the minimum qualifications?

• Prefer a B.S. CS, related degree, or equivalent experience
• Senior level software development skills
• PHP experience
• JavaScript experience, preferably with React but open
• Experience with cloud applications (prefer AWS) based on open-source technologies
• Prefer experience with MySQL or MongoDB, but open
• Experience working with Big Data, i.e., indexing a table or query using the table
• Linux and Command Line Interface (CLI
• Must be able to multi-task and work with agile methodology

What will make your résumé stand out?

• Background Source code control, Git
• MVC
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, REST, SOAP, XML, JSON
• Familiarity with Zend and/or Larvel framework
• Experience using Node.js
• Knowledge using Java
• Experience with Buildroot, Git, Jira
• Familiarity with how kernel and kernel modules interact

Location: 100% remote, Headquarters in Richardson, TX

Salary: 130k - 145k + Bonus + 401k Match + Stock Options
