Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Berwyn, IL

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $45 - $60 per hour / $1800 - $2400 per week

Schedule: We have several clients looking for Special Education Teacher , specific schedule isbased on the school and district you will be working with

Position Details

Specialty: Special Education Teacher

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Special Education Teaching Certification/ LBS1

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs.
  • Design engaging lesson plans aligned with state and district standards.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching techniques and instructional materials to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in academic, social, and behavioral areas.
  • Modify curriculum as necessary to ensure accessibility and understanding.
  • Implement positive behavior intervention strategies to foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Work closely with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom settings.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and related service providers about student progress and concerns.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate student records.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare detailed progress reports and maintain thorough documentation of student development.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and district regulations regarding special education.
  • Stay updated on best practices by participating in professional development opportunities.
