Job Description

Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting one of the largest automated clinical laboratories in North America that has a DIRECT HIRE opening for a Medical Technologist/Laboratory Supervisor in Deland, FL.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supervision over multiple functions which may include oversight of lab testing for core lab, monitoring the workflow from sample processing to departmental workflow through results reporting, and may provide for day-to-day guidance on teammate performance.
• Employment activity such as hiring, promoting, job performance, evaluations, and disciplinary actions
• Covers work on the bench as needed
• Active role in lab’s quality improvement program (incident reports, CAP surveys, turnaround time, service guarantee, state requirements), safety policies, and ensure levels of compliance.

Requirements

• Must have ASCP, AAB certifications as a Medical Technologist
• Experience as a Medical Technologist/Supervisor
• Current Florida license as a Supervisor in Hematology OR Chemistry required and certified by a professional laboratory certifying agency

Additional Notes:

• Position type: Direct Hire
• Hourly rate approved up to $43/hr ($89K/year)
• Tuesday-Friday 5pm-3am. Saturday is required every 12-13 week.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
