The Axel Group is seeking a Superintendent to join their client's team out of Buffalo, NY! For half a century, our client has been providing general contracting and construction services to clients across the region. This firm has many repeat clients in both the private and public sectors and has successfully completed a wide range of projects across the multi-family/affordable housing, academic, institutional, health care, commercial, industrial, retail, and criminal justice sectors.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Superintendent with experience running all day-to-day aspects of a job site. This individual must have a background in low-rise or midrise, stick build, multi-family buildings!

Responsibilities:

• Supervise construction to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Includes interfacing with owner representatives and all contractors.
• Plan work schedule, determining manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control and day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff if applicable.
• Supervise trade craft employees and other contractors as required by contract.
• Provide technical assistance, interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment as required.
• Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc.
• Document all violations, notify project management, recommend/implement corrective actions as required.
• Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment and contractual performance of the project.
• Scheduling, coordinating, and supervising trade crafts on the construction site.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• OSHA 30
• Experience with multifamily ground up projects or ground up experience
